** Calendar Notes  **
================================================== ====================

    From across the country (and right here in Illinois), prayers and
words of encouragement keep pouring in for the Children's Chaplaincy,
which God has placed on my heart.  I thank Him daily for each of "my"
beautiful kids in the greater Charleston, SC area, and the
opportunities that He gives me to personally mentor/tutor them, their
teachers, friends and families.  From J, a ten-year-old just beginning
to read Braille, to T, a fifteen-year-old facing additional health
challenges including cystic fibrosis, each is brilliant in his/her own
way and unique in his/her own interests and abilities.        I am
also grateful for the congregations of First Christian Church,
Vandalia, IL; Lakewood, IL United Methodist Church; and Grace United
Methodist Church in Charleston, SC, for their participation!  A
special thanks to Marti and Bill Hyatt for their many hours of
volunteer service.

     Over the next month, "Music By Laurel Jean" will be sharing
Ministry throughout Central and Southern IL.  I look forward to seeing
old friends and new faces alike, and telling you more about "my" kids!

     This weekend, April 25 and 26, I'll be presenting Saturday
Evening Concert Ministry and bringing a Sunday Morning "Message In
Music" for God's kids of all ages, at the Troy, IL Friedens United
Church of Christ.  Learn more on my Events Calendar.  Thanks for

Prayer/Praise Notes

     The family that prays together stays together! From my Children's
Chaplaincy, please remember H, R and J, who are adjusting to blindness
in a sighted world; S, T and B as they learn to be even more
independent; and JT, who is still fighting kidney disease.  Pray also,
for the discernment of their teachers, doctors, families and friends.

     From the "MusicNotes" Family, remember Judy, Jeri's
daughter-in-law, who is recovering from major surgery to fight breast
cancer.  Also remember Rev. T. in Southern Indiana, recently home from
the hospital, who still struggles with neck/back pain.  We rejoice
with the family of Luke the Guide Dog, on Luke's speedy recovery, and
with Nancy, whose fiancé is home and cancer-free!

     Sending a "Praise Note" or a prayer request is as easy as
